What this site collects, and what it doesn’t.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages people use, so we know what is worth writing more about. It sets cookies and sends Google your IP address, your device and browser, and the pages you open. It does not tell us who you are, and we do not combine it with anything else.

You can switch it off for every site with Google’s opt-out browser add-on, or by turning on your browser’s own tracking protection. Nothing on this site stops working if you do.

The donation form

The donate page carries a donation form provided by Zeffy, embedded from zeffy.com. Opening that page loads content from Zeffy, which means Zeffy receives your IP address and browser details even if you do not donate.

If you do donate, Zeffy handles the payment and your card details go to them, not to us. We never see or store card numbers. We receive your name, the amount and your contact details so that we can thank you and issue a receipt. Zeffy has its own privacy policy covering what it does with the payment data.

What we do not do

There are no contact forms, no newsletter sign-up and no accounts on this website. We carry no advertising and no affiliate links, and we do not sell, rent or share anything about you.

If you contact us

If you phone or email us, we keep what you send only so that we can answer you. We do not sell, rent or share it. If you ask for a donation receipt we keep a record of that donation for as long as tax rules require, and no longer.

Fonts and files

The typefaces and images are served from our own domain rather than a font or image CDN. On every page but the donate page, reading it contacts nobody except us and Google Analytics.
